Comrades Marathon Blog

With the 2007 Comrades Marathon coming up in less than two weeks, many people are asking me how I’m feeling, considering that I was planning on running the race.

So here’s the deal. I’m ok. Of course I would have loved to run the race this year, but there’s always next year. Considering all that I’ve been through this year, it’s going to be far more satisfying to cross the finish line in Pietermaritzburg in 2008, than crossing the one in Durban this year.

Therefore I’m not going to ask myself “What if I was running Comrades this year?” I’ll rather ask, “What do I have to do to ensure I run it next year?”
