Perspective at Comrades Marathon Blog

Perspective

While my training has been going well, it’s important for me to get some perspective. The Comrades Marathon is 89km, over 4km more than running 2 standard marathons back to back. The furthest I’ve run at the moment is 30km, which is a third of what I will need to run on 17 June 2007. This makes me realise how much training is required for this immense race, and why it’s important to remain humble in my approach to it.

However, I have a plan and I’m on track, (expect a post about this soon) and this should build my confidence for the marathon, then go on to a sub 5 hour Two Oceans, and hopefully, a Comrades Bill Rowan.
