As mentioned before, the Ravensmead 15km race was on Saturday. Getting up at 4:45 on a cold winter morning is not easiest thing, never mind driving round and round looking for the start. After finding it eventually, I found the race to be exceptionally organised with great support, plenty of water tables and accurate marker boards.
I was aiming for a sub 70 minute time and ran the race in a surprising 64 minutes. At 12km, I was at 52 minutes, and realised that with some pushing, I could do the race in 65. I ended up running the last 3km in 12 minutes, running those time trials as hard as I could has definately helped me with my stamina.
Update: The race results are available here.
